Berhubung yang nulis lagi tergila-gila banget sama anime Chihayafuru, kali ini yang nulis pun akan review tentang band yang mengusung lagu Youthful yang didapuk menjadi OP anime tersebut.

99Radio Service adalah band Jepang asal Tokyo yang mengusung aliran Pop-Rock. Band yang dipersoneli oleh Ko-Hey pada vokal dan gitar, Ko-Ta di gitar dan back vokal, Goi pada keyboard, Negi pada drum dan Jigen sebagai additional bassist berdiri pada tahun 2007.
First full album mereka dengan tajuk "1" resmi dirilis pada bulan Desember 2009. Dua tahun kemudian, setelah live mereka di Macau dan Hongkong mereka sukses, album baru mereka bertajuk "2" pun dirilis pada tanggal 9 September 2011. Trial tracklist mereka bisa kalian dengar disini.
Dua bulan kemudian, single pertama mereka dengan judul Youthful resmi dirilis, dan langsung didapuk menjadi opening theme untuk sebuah anime berjudul Chihayafuru. Jalan menuju rockstar pun mulai terasa sedikit lebih mudah setelah ini.
Di tahun 2012, mereka berkolaborasi dengan seorang penyanyi, penulis lagu sekaligus produser asal Amerika, William James McAuley III a.k.a Bleu. Lagu berjudul It Isn't You, It's Medirilis secara digital, namun pada akhirnya dirilis dalam bentuk CD dalam single kedua mereka berjudul Bye x Bye.
Besok, pada tanggal 6 Maret, maxi-single mereka, STAR, akan dirilis dengan 4 tracklist lagu didalamnya.

Band ini saya rekomendasikan untuk kalian dengar. Kenapa?
Satu alasannya adalah karena saya benar-benar terpukau dengan suara Ko-Hey. Saata mendengar alunan lagu Youthful, saya benar-benar excited karena penyanyinya adalah laki-laki! Ya. Padahal, range vocal lagu Youthful ini saya yakini adalah suara wanita.
